Grand final morning

Now I’ve got the bug and I’m really set for the game this afternoon. E and A have been putting up streamers and balloons, the projector is set up in the loungeroom and the fridge is full of beer. A few people are coming around later on, so I think we’re ready. My tip is Brisbane by 46 points, but I reckon it’ll be a close game all the way along, with the Lions pulling away in the last quarter. The ‘interstate thing’, as referred to on Virulent Memes, has meant that Melbourne has been relatively quiet this week, but the parade in the city yesterday picked things up a bit and I think there should still be a lot of interest in the game.
Port fans all over the city last night. The Oxford Scholar was packed out with the, out the doors and covering the footpath. Most will be basing themselves in Ballarat though, and will make the trip by bus for the match. Haven’t seen to many Lions fans, but I’m sure that’s just the quiet confidence of another flag.
