Dump and run

Someone left our company last week, and as a result, I agreed to take on some of their work for about a month until the new person started and I could offload it again. Nice sentiment, huh?
Turns out that this person had a severe case of the my-last-week-so-I-don’t-give-a-shits. There is stuff everywhere. And we’re not just talking the last couple of weeks, most of this stretches back a month or two, and in one case, to February.
Needless to say, I’m pretty pissed about the whole situation, given the fact that it’s getting closer to 7 and I’m still here at work, trying to do my usual work in addition to clearing up the car wreck of work that they left.
Grrrr.
