Tragic reality check

This week, one of the guys I went through high school with died in a farming accident near Gunbower. Although I may have seen him only once or twice since finishing school, it is a terrible shock and really puts things in perspective. He was 25, and the kind of guy that you could not dislike; harmless and a good laugh. Rest in peace, Alfie.
It is saddening to hear of these things happening, as another friend has testicular cancer. While unfotunately happening everyday, I guess it’s not until something happens to someone you know that you take a step back and think how lucky we are to have all we have, and how continuously lucky we are to have it stay that way.
