Billboard is shit and another dump

Just another quick blog dump.

Friday night was good. Went to the Apartment for J’s farewell drinks. Everything was good until G wigged out and left R with us. Apparently he came back after I had gone, and R was fine today, but it was still pretty ordinary at the time. Not sure if I had anything to do with that.

Saturday night was pretty shit. Caught others in the city at the European Bier Cafe at around 10:30 and stayed there for a while, then went to move on to Billboard. That place is as ridiculous as the rumours about it. Supposedly had a mate who could get us in. Not surprisinglyly, the ‘mate’, a guy called (??), was nowehere to be found at that stage, so the door bitches claim of ‘The girls are fine, but we don’t let in guys we don’t know’ held. So I just went home by myself. I’m actually kind of glad that it didn’t work out, I’m quite sure it’s not a place I would want to be at and I hold reservations about the kind of people that go there, let alone those who can get other people in.

Erwin from Doppler left a comment last week in response to my post about the problems I am having. That is fantastic product support. I’ll have to take some screenshots and keep a log of problems to send in. It really freaked out yesterday and downloaded feeds completely at random. Funny thing is that it actually downloaded everythign ok, just in a random order.

Adam Curry is still stuck on narrow band net access. Hopefully he might come up with a narrow-band podcasting solution soon, it might help others on dial-up access (read: me).

Work is flat out at the moment. I just had my performance review, which went really well, so I’m quite pleased with that. Thankfully, it is looking like all my issues will be out this year, which should avoid a lot of hassle early next year.

Christmas is way too close. I still haven’t done any shopping so I need to get into gear. I have one in the work Kris Kringle and at home, so that is going to be hard to work out what to buy them. Plus parents, bro, H and family etc.

That’ll do, better go and do some work, seeing how I complained how busy it is.
