Hewitt misses out

Marat Safin beat Hewitt in the Men’s Final. Oh well. Although Hewitt came out firing in the first, I can’t say he ever looked in control enough to take the match. It was still a good game though, because Hewitt is usually at his best when backed into a corner. Maybe next year. Apparently, he has proposed to Bec, so that should keep him busy for a while. Odds of the marriage eventuating: 20-1. Odds of it lasting five years: 100-1. But you never know, it might work out and not be a severe rebound after all.
