Adam Curry’s Gnomedex Keynote
June 27, 2005
Adam’s closing keynote at Gnomedex brings up his 200th Daily Source Code, and is brilliant. Get the podcast from Curry.com and you can find a so-so video of the speech from Steve Garfield. Really worth a listen. Great music, great ideas, great stories and even some squishy moments between Adam and Dave Winer.
I can’t believe I’ve listened to 200 of these things

Thanks for the link to my video. As you know the wireless was nat as fast as we’d like, so that’s part of hte reason for the poor quality of hte video. What I was doing was uploading the video from my GL2 over Firewire to my Powerbook and then up to audioblog.comWhen you stream live video like that to audioblog, some throttling takes place. So that combined with the EiFi in the hall lead to stutters and dropouts.BUT you did get to see the video of his speech just minutes after he finished, so for that, I think it was worth posting like that.

I did it the old fashioned way and recorded direct to disk. The link to my video can be found at neterity.blogspot.com. Hand held so there are a few jitters etc. But good quality sound.Enjoy.

You’re right Steve, and I think you summed up the whole vibe right there. I got to watch and hear the keynote from Seattle in Melbourne minutes after the event and it was all user-to-user, no broadcasting companies etc. Thanks for work, it was good to see the hair in action.Neternity, I’ll be checking out the video tonight, it’s a little big to pull down at work. Thanks for the heads up.
