TV update

Big Brother again. Last night’s show was eerily reminiscent of a Jerry Springer show as Glenn was evicted and subsequently confronted by Michelle on stage. All it needed was some midgets and a sex worker. As abruptly, but accurately, reported in the SMH this morning:

His housemates loved him for being “genuine”, but the cameras captured an immature and deceitful boy’s boy who was a slave to his testosterone. He treated Michelle (his companion in the now infamous Big Brother Bath Incident) with a complete lack of respect, despite the strong bond that had developed between them. He told his male housemates of “Plan B” – to seduce Kate, Michelle’s best-friend in the house, should Michelle be evicted.

This Plan B was put into action no more than thirty seconds after Michelle was dumped and earned the ire of the mostly female audience (as in most of the audience is female, not some weird hermaphrodite viewing statistic).

I’m still struggling to care about what happens this series, and to make matters worse, it looks like they will be showing the next series of 24 soon. The last one seemed to be scraping the bottom, so I just hope that this series is an improvement. At least the network is enthusiastic, screaming ‘Better than the original’ on the teaser ads. At least it’s not Lost. I gave it another shot last week and wasn’t overly impressed. In my eyes, I don’t think anything has really happened since the show started. Last Man Standing has managed to cling on longer than I had expected and is still going to air.
Anyhow, that ends this excuse for a post.

Hi, nice blog :D You’re right! That was extremely Springer but I can’t say i’m complaining though I had to feel a bit sorry for him by the end.
