Gambling on terrorism

Where-next.com lets you place a bet on where the next terrorist attack will be and the method the terrorists use. Get the closest guess and you win a t-shirt! It’s this kind of sick and twisted fun that reassures me that no matter what terrorists throw at the rest of the world, we still aren’t going to collapse in a heap of terror-induced surrender. Therefore, far from condemning the site as grossly inappropriate (apart from their banner advertising), I think this is an example of the frame of mind that terror cannot and will not overthrow. Admittedly, though, it’s not to everyone’s taste. Maybe it’s the Australian in me that will bet on pretty much anything and everything…
