Things I Learnt Tonight (cf. Wikipedia)

Wikipedia is an addictive beast. I finally got around to watching Gone With The Wind tonight and, astonished at my lack of American Civil War knowledge, thought I’d check on Wikipedia for some info. Two hours later and I now know a whole lot more about a disjointed stack of stuff, including George Washington, the Whig Party, the American Constitution, the Magna Carta, Blitzkrieg, US Presidents, Murphy’s Law, Scorched Earth, Nixon, Watergate, Jingoism and Infernal Dynamics. And perhaps most importantly, I actually found out where the hell Rhode Island actually is.

I’m sure this now makes me a more complete person. Be wary, if you are looking up something on Wikipedia, allow at least two hours for following random links.
