Contents Under Pressure ban ineffective

Date March 2, 2006

Looks like the Australian ban on ‘Mark Ecko’s Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure‘ have been completely ineffective (apart from it being freely available online). I spotted this in the city at RMIT this afternoon. This proves two things I guess: firstly, people can replicate what they play in games, which is why it was banned; secondly, people are going to do it anyway, whether it’s banned or not, which questions the relevance of the ban. I suppose you can argue either way.

Not a lot actually, Raduza Mantego is the name of the Panamanian bad guy of an AR game that I took part in ages ago. I started using it on a messageboard relating to the game and just kind of kept it. It’s all been archived at http://www.deltaonezero.com/

    Rather geeky, I know.
