The Queen is in Melbourne

Betty 2 has finally made it back to Australia in time for the games. Apparently, she couldn’t manage to bring her baton with her on the flight, so she made hundreds of poor bastards carry it all the way to Melbourne.

This is the perfect opportunity for everyone to mouth off about the Republic debate, her Anthem, her longevity, ad nauseum. But probably only after she’s gone again. Personally, I think the our independence is overdue, but there is something nice about seeing her parading up and down Sydney Harbour. Nice job if you can get it, I guess.
