iTunes 7.0.1 is a bitch

Now I’ve bloody well cracked it with iTunes. This morning while doing the normal podcast update before work, it decided to shit itself and corrupt my library completely. Now the whole thing is borked. All I have is the three games I bought – no music, no videos, no podcasts, nothing. All the custom playlists, playcounts, unplayed podcast data, gone. I am livid. Now I’m slowly adding all my music back on and will have to go through and add each podcast as well. Not to mention rebuild all the playlists, not that they’ll work, as everything will have a zero playcount.

iTunes has been shithouse since the last couple of upgrades, and if they don’t fix something pretty quick there’s going to be lots of pissed off people, although it seems that there already is. It simply shouldn’t take the better part of an hour to update an iPod with five new podcasts.

Not fucking happy.
