December 20, 2006
December is a crazy month, so much on and so much to do. Played in the Pub Poker final on Sunday in St Kilda. Out of the 60 finalists and 4,500 entrants, I finished 7th. Not too bad at all. By making the final table, I’ll end up on Channel 31 whenever they get around to screening the final.
Robbie Williams was on the following night and was a top show. I think he’s copped a bit of a bagging about it, but I thought it was great. Sure, the singing wasn’t his finest, but the show as a whole was great fun.
Tomorrow is the work Christmas party, which also should be a great day down at the Docklands. The weather is looking hot again, as it has been for each work party so far. Then almost three weeks off! Bring it on!
And last but not least, today is my birthday. Hooray for me. I don’t really give it much thought to be honest, as there’s always a heap of other stuff going on. Still, it’s been a marginally better year than the last, so I shouldn’t complain too much, although next year can’t help but be better.
